An assessment establishes what your supply is, what the household draws at peak times, where the entry point sits, and whether there is space, drainage and access for equipment. The specification follows from those findings rather than from a standard package, which is why two properties on the same street can need different systems.
It depends on the configuration and on the plumbing at the property, and many straightforward installations are completed within a day once the planning is done. The work covers fitting the equipment, connecting it to the supply, arranging drainage where the system needs it, then commissioning and checking everything before we leave.
Filtration media is consumable by design, so replacement is periodic rather than a one-off. How often depends on the equipment installed, the stages in the configuration and how much water the household puts through it. On a reverse osmosis system the pre-filters and post-filters are replaced more often than the membrane. We set the schedule for your installation at handover rather than quoting a generic interval.
